Vote YES on Prop 50

Election Rigging Response Act

Texas House Republicans passed a new Congressional Map to rig the 2026 election. California has a  duty to defend democracy -- a Yes on Prop 50 nullifies Texas’ effort to flip five Democrat-held seats to Republican-held seats.

Key Facts About Prop 50 (Election Rigging Response Act)

1) Ensures Fair Congressional Representation
Republican-led states like Texas have redrawn maps to rig the 2026 elections. Prop 50 was proposed by Governor Gavin Newsom as a safeguard to maintain fair representation in Congress.

2) Legally Authorized
The state legislature passed Prop 50 in August 2025, and the California Supreme Court has cleared it for the ballot.

3) Activated by Voters
A YES vote provides emergency congressional district maps that would govern California congressional elections for 2026 – 2030.

4) Time-Limited (Expires 2030)
These maps are temporary. Control returns to the independent Citizens Redistricting Commission in 2030, reaffirming California’s award-winning redistricting reforms.
