Bannering 101 was created by the indivisible chapters. In May we presented to 350,000 drivers.   On the NOKINGS weekend of June 14th we reached over 128,000 drivers and had almost 200 people join in joy and celebration on the Belmont Overpass!

We are now bannering at six bike/ped overpasses with a focus on reaching 125,000 vehicular impressions on 6/14 NO KINGS day.  Overpasses include Belmont, Menlo, San Antonio, Clarke, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Los Gatos.  We have Inaugurated Broadway in Burlingame On June 25.   We are now delivering out DIY bannering workshop to  organizers in Pacifica, the Eden Canyon Indivisible group, and the Unitarian Church in Oakland.  We continue to provide for free, blank banners to groups who want to get started.

People waving and flying homemade banners resonate deeply with drivers, a demographic of younger commuters – most of whom are registered to vote. We need volunteers for banner production, communication, and for presentation on the overpasses.  With each event, the interconnection between the groups gets stronger.  We’ve added contacts to our phones and made friends with people who share our values.  Our network is becoming solid!
